Installation Accessories

Seaming is a pretty advanced part of the installation process and some people would prefer to just avoid it. If you want to, that's an option. Be aware, though, seaming is generally done or recommended to cut down on material waste and ensure the grain of the turf is facing the right way. If you skip seams, you may have a shocking amount of extra material to pay for to get the right look on your installation. If you decide to try to seam your area instead, we're here to explain the process and help figure out what measurements you need.

Weed barrier does so much for your synthetic grass installation! As you'd expect, weed barrier helps to prevent weeds growing into your installation. Perhaps even more importantly, weed barrier helps to stabilize your installation by separating the base rock that forms the foundation of your installation and the dirt below it. Without weed barrier, the base rock will be more prone to sinking and degrading.

Weed barrier does so much for your fake turf installation but it can't prevent weeds from growing on top of the grass or outside of the weed barrier itself. The very top layer of an artificial grass installation is sand. Sometimes, seeds blow from plants outside of the area and land in that sand. End result? Small weeds growing on top of your turf! These can be easily removed because their roots can't get into the base roock. A gentle pull should be enough. Weeds do sometimes still develop along the edges of the installation beyond where the weed barrier can prevent them. If this happens, you may use gentle weed killers or gently pull them out.

Turf can get dirty in a variety of ways. Pet messes, spilled food, and even dust can collect on an artificial grass installation. For spilled food, leaves, and similar items, a quick pick up is often sufficent. For pet waste, liquid spills, and other messes it may be necessary to use a cleaner.
